We at Drexel offer a full line of Crop Protection Products (Liquid and Dry), Adjuvants, and Nutritional’s. \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nJob Description:\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThe Western Regional Manager role covers the West Coast Market which includes California, Arizona, Neveda, Utah, Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. The purpose of this role is to create demand for the Drexel Brand with Distributors in these states while at the same time developing pull through with key Retailers/Co-Ops throughout the region. \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThis role will have two Sales Representatives as direct reports with the intention of adding additional headcount as the business grows. In addition, the Regional Manager will have Key Account responsibilities. This is a good opportunity to build a team and grow a business as Drexel is looking to increase our Focus on the West Coast. \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThis is a remote position. It is fine for the candidate to be located anywhere within the area. Travel is required but not expected to exceed 50%. \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nCore Responsibilities:\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n\r\n\tDevelop and execute a Business Plan to deliver growth within the region. Plan components include.\r\n\r\n\t\r\n\t\tTerritory Overview, Sales History, and Goals\r\n\t\tCustomer Segmentation\r\n\t\tIdentify Focus Products\r\n\t\tPositioning Statements for those Focus Products\r\n\t\tCall Plan\r\n\t\tAlign Focus products, Positioning Statements, and Call Plan with Marketing to develop complimentary Marketing campaigns.\r\n\t\r\n\t\r\n\tCoach the Sales Team to focus on the right opportunities and provide them information and direction so that they can be productive each day.\r\n\tEstablish Relationships with Key Stakeholders across the Territory\r\n\tDeliver Pricing and manage Pricing exceptions\r\n\tBuild Forecasts\r\n\tHelp the Sales Team Manage Inventory in Regional Public Warehouses\r\n\t\r\n\t\tWe have two in the geography\r\n\t\tNot a huge time allocation as the Team will work from the forecast in partnership with customer service.\r\n\t\r\n\t\r\n\tAttend various Trade Shows and Industry Meetings\r\n\tComplete Report of Calls (ROC’s) using a CRM tool\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nCompetencies:\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n\r\n\tAction Oriented\r\n\tAdaptability\r\n\tApplied Learning\r\n\tBe a good listener\r\n\tAttentive \r\n\tStrong Initiative\r\n\tTeamwork\r\n\tAgronomic Knowledge and Technical Skills\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nRequired Education & Experience:\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n\r\n\tBachelor’s degree in Ag Business or Related Degree plan is required.\r\n\tExperience managing people is required.\r\n\t10+ years of experience in the Ag Business is required with experience in the Ag Retail sector preferred.\r\n\tThe ability to be told “No”, adapt, and take a different approach to the opportunity is important.\r\n\tA strong agronomic background especially with regard to CP products is preferred.\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nCompensation and Benefits:\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n\r\n\tThis is a Salary position. \r\n\tCompensation is competitive and commensurate with years of experience.\r\n\tWell defined Bonus opportunity.\r\n\tA company funded retirement plan is provided.\r\n\tFull Medical benefits are available including Medical, Dental, and Vision.\r\n\tPaid time off.\r\n\tLife and Disability Insurance available.\r\n\tA company vehicle, cell phone, and laptop are provided.\r\n\r\n
