Job Details Key responsibilities
General Azure Admin
Own day-to-day and strategic administration of Azure subscriptions, resource groups, and shared services across multiple environments.
Lead identity and access management: Entra ID/Azure AD integration (as applicable), RBAC design, PIM, managed identities, service principals, access reviews, and privileged access processes.
Design and operate networking and connectivity: VNets/subnets, NSGs/ASGs, UDRs, DNS, private endpoints/Private Link, load balancers, firewall integrations, and VPN/ExpressRoute coordination.
Operate and optimize compute and platform services: VMs/VMSS, Azure App Service, Azure Storage, Key Vault, Azure Backup/Recovery Services Vault, and other services required by the platform.
Drive security and compliance controls: logging/auditing, encryption, Key Vault standards, Defender for Cloud recommendations remediation, vulnerability management coordination, and policy enforcement.
AKS
Own administration and operational health of Azure subscriptions and shared services, with primary focus on AKS platforms.
Design, deploy, and operate AKS clusters (private/public), including node pools, upgrades, autoscaling, and capacity planning.
Manage Kubernetes platform components: Ingress (e.g., NGINX/AGIC), service mesh (if applicable), CoreDNS, cluster add-ons, and workload scheduling.
Implement secure cluster and workload patterns: Azure AD/Entra ID integration, Kubernetes RBAC, pod security controls, secrets management (Key Vault + CSI driver), image security/scanning, and network policies.
Manage AKS networking end-to-end: VNets, subnets, UDRs, NSGs, Private Link, internal/external load balancers, DNS, and troubleshooting connectivity across hybrid networks.
Implement monitoring/observability for clusters and workloads: Azure Monitor for containers, Log Analytics, Prometheus/Grafana (if used), alerting, and SLO/SLA reporting.
Collaborate with DevOps/platform engineering to improve automation (Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions), IaC alignment (Terraform/Bicep), and self-service onboarding for teams.
Required qualifications
6+ years of infrastructure/cloud administration experience with 3+ years in Azure production environments.
Strong hands-on experience managing AKS in production (cluster lifecycle, upgrades, troubleshooting).
Deep understanding of Kubernetes fundamentals: deployments/statefulsets, services, ingress, network policies, autoscaling, storage classes/PVs, and namespaces/multi-tenancy.
Strong knowledge of Azure networking and security: VNets, NSGs, Private Endpoints/Private Link, Azure Firewall integration, DNS, RBAC, PIM, managed identities.
Proficiency with automation using PowerShell and/or Azure CLI; comfort working in Git-based workflows.
Experience with container registries and image security (ACR, policy enforcement, scanning/signing).
Experience with IaC: Terraform/Bicep module collaboration and policy-as-code.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Information Technology or any other related discipline or equivalent related experience.

4+ years of directly-related or relevant experience, preferably in healthcare data analytics or data engineering.
