The position
We are looking for a dedicated Site Manager with a strong electrical background to oversee the operations and maintenance of our solar plant projects. You will ensure the smooth execution of all operational aspects, with a key focus on safety and leading a team of technicians and contractors.
This position is a hands-on management position responsible for the day-to-day management and operational excellence of the nominated sites and teams. This position is responsible for delivering the operational scope efficiently and with respect to safety, budget, and time. This role is accountable for effective communication with external stakeholders including owners, clients, regulatory stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead a Zero Harm safety culture and ensure full WHSE compliance across all site activities.
- Coordinate with clients and stakeholders, including managing permits, SWMS, and required documentation.
- Supervise technicians and contractors, ensuring safe work practices and performance standards.
- Manage budget, subcontractors, procurement, site spares, and consumables in line with contract requirements.
- Prepare routine, progress, and ITP reports and provide updates to clients and management.
- Coach and mentor the team to maintain technical capability, including VOC assessments.
- Maintain all site documentation, including drawings, OEM manuals, procedures, and safety records.
- Support project and engineering teams with site investigations, assessments, and O&M deliverables.
- Drive WHSEQ initiatives, incident reporting, and speak-up culture across the site.
- Ensure all plant, equipment, tools, and PPE are fit for purpose and used correctly.
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of power electronics and utility-scale renewable energy systems.
- Basic electrical engineering knowledge, including HV/LV systems and communication networks.
- Experience in utility-scale solar or renewable O&M.
- Safety management capability, including electrical risk management.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- High proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Experience & Qualifications
- Experience in the role of Site Manager on operational site is highly desirable.
- Minimum 2 years in Operations and Maintenance experience of utility scale Solar or renewable projects (or transferrable experience), HV experience preferred.
- Experience and training in utility scale inverter technology preferred.
- Diploma/degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or equivalent; other technical training to be evaluated
- Electrical Licence for the relevant state (preferred)
- LVR/CPR certificate, First Aid certificate, Working at Heights desirable

- Promote and lead a Safety Culture towards Zero Harm, ensuring adherence and compliance to all site and business safety requirements.
- Ensuring all site and companywide KPI'S are met including all compliance inspections are completed as per requirements
- Ensuring site safety including monitoring Team and subcontractors including after hours as necessary.
