Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Small Animal Medical Director Veterinarian to take on a key leadership role within a well-established general practice team in South-East Queensland. This opportunity offers the chance to guide clinical standards, mentor colleagues, and contribute meaningfully to a supportive and progressive veterinary environment. The role is primarily based at one location, with occasional support across nearby clinics.
You will maintain an active clinical caseload across consultations and surgery while providing leadership and encouragement to fellow veterinarians and nursing staff. This position is ideal for a confident all-round GP veterinarian who enjoys coaching others, strengthening team culture, and delivering personalised, high-quality care to a loyal client base. Flexibility is available for either full-time or part-time arrangements for the right candidate.
Qualifications Needed:
- Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent recognised in Australia
- Minimum of four years’ small animal general practice experience preferred
- Strong medical and surgical competency across general practice cases
- Previous mentoring or leadership experience highly regarded
- Excellent communication skills with collaborative team approach
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support veterinary team members in daily clinical practice
- Maintain high standards of patient care and client communication
- Balance consulting and surgical responsibilities
- Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced veterinarians
