Job Description: Our client is seeking a Mixed Animal Veterinarian to join their well-established dual-site practice on either a full-time or part-time basis. This role offers the opportunity to work across two purpose-built hospitals, providing exposure to both companion animal and large animal cases within a supportive and highly collaborative team.
With strong in-house mentorship, advanced diagnostic facilities, and structured nurse support for each veterinarian, this position is ideal for someone looking to expand their clinical capabilities in a progressive rural setting. After-hours duties are shared evenly and supported by a triage service, ensuring balanced workload management and clinician wellbeing.
Qualifications Needed:
- BVSc or equivalent qualification recognised in Australia
- Experience or interest in mixed animal practice
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing medical and surgical cases across small and large animals
- Utilising in-house diagnostic tools including ultrasound and digital imaging
- Participating in a shared and structured on-call roster
- Working closely with dedicated nursing support for optimal patient care
- Referring complex cases appropriately and liaising with specialists
