Valley Veterinary Clinic is looking for an EXPERIENCED veterinary assistant or CERTIFIED technician to join our team for full or part-time. Please take into consideration that you must be a licensed veterinary technician OR a veterinary assistant with a minimum of two years clinical experience OR a certified veterinary assistant to be considered. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
Valley Veterinary is a well-established mixed animal practice that does a high volume of cases per day. We regularly treat cats, dogs, rabbits, cows, pigs, goats, sheep, horses, chickens, and ducks, with the occasional pocket-pet, camelid, and exotic bird thrown in. While working in both large and small animal is available to most hires, it is neither guaranteed nor required.
If you are tired of holier-than-thou technicians, sketchy kennel staff, or aloof veterinarians, come on over. Our clinic prides itself on succeeding as a whole team, from reception to kennel to assistant to technician to veterinarian. When one area or individual is struggling, we work together to create opportunities to improve.
The best candidate for this position is a hard-working and knowledgeable, possessing a desire to learn and a willing attitude. The job can be stressful enough, we are not seeking to increase that with needless clinic drama. This is a unique practice with a wonderful, familial environment for the right person.
We work a 4 day, 10 hour, dayshift schedule with rotating Saturdays and on-call Sundays. We are closed Sundays except for urgent care.. We provide company scrub tops and have a highly competitive benefits package for full-time employees. This could be full-time or 20-30 hours part-time.
Wages highly dependent on experience.
