Responsible for working with an internal team of Field Operations and Site Leadership to support the site Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program and will report to the Crop Production SubHub Lead.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThe primary responsibilities of this role, IPM Associate I, are to: \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n\r\n\tBuild network and relationships within the IPM teams to establish rapport and engage in continuous improvement opportunities;\r\n\tDemonstrate knowledge of pesticide related programs such as WPS, RCRA, FIFRA;\r\n\tprograms such as WPS, RCRA, FIFRA; \r\n\tOperate vehicles and agricultural equipment including but not limited to tractors, pesticide application equipment and mobile applications;\r\n\tPerform basic troubleshooting, mechanical and preventative maintenance on greenhouse equipment and their operating systems as well as digital systems;\r\n\tSafely execute pesticide applications as prescribed by IPM Manager and Agronomists;\r\n\tBe responsible for timely communication of required pesticide application information in accordance with Federal and State regulatory and internal standards;\r\n\tAdhere to the requirements of the programs related to integrated pest management on site;\r\n\tComplete and support trainings on SOPs, safety trainings, equipment operation/maintenance and compliance programs;\r\n\tMaintain accurate physical and digital inventory records and proper storage of physical inventory and waste;\r\n\tCollect notes on pest pressures and agronomic challenges through routine scouting and maintain records of greenhouse notes in data management systems;\r\n\tAdhere to Bayer's Health Safety Environment (HSE) and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) standards and State and Federal Regulations including but not limited to all OSHA and WPS requirements;\r\n\tUse data platforms to complete required activities (e.g. Agsync, AgriSite, ChemWatch);\r\n\tSupport all aspects of production including planting, harvest, land prep, irrigation and crop protection activities as needed;\r\n\tPosition entails driving a company vehicle (pooled or assigned to the individual). This may include being required to drive greater than 5,000 business miles annually in a personal, pooled, or rented vehicle OR being expected to frequently drive a pooled car as part of your job duties – regardless of mileage.\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nWHO YOU ARE\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nBayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nRequired Qualifications: \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n\r\n\tHigh School diploma OR GED and relevant experience;\r\n\tValid Driver’s License: Driving record (MVR) will be reviewed and must meet guidelines based on the company’s Risk Screening for Hiring Drivers;\r\n\tHave or have the ability to obtain a valid Hawaii Department of Agriculture Private Pesticide Applicator's license/certification within 90 days from date of hire;\r\n\tHold, maintain and actively use valid Private Pesticide Applicator's license/certification throughout the duration of the role;\r\n\tAbility to work extended hours during peak operational seasons;\r\n\tAbility to balance and prioritize tasks;\r\n\tDemonstrated experience working in a collaborative team-based environment;\r\n\tProficient operation of computers and mobile devices;\r\n\tExperience with both standard MS Office computer and/or software systems used in scientific data analysis, with ability to quickly learn new software programs and tools;\r\n\tStrong written and verbal communication skills in English, and the ability to listen;\r\n\tAbility to work without direct supervision in a diverse team environment;\r\n\tAbility to lift up to 60 lbs.\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nPreferred Qualifications:\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n\r\n\tBachelor in Science in Agronomy, Life Sciences or related field;\r\n\tFour years of relevant experience;\r\n\tKnowledge and experience with agricultural/greenhouse equipment and row crop production practices and history of leveraging that knowledge in a research or production environment;\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nDomestic Relocation may be provided for this role in the form of a $50,000 relocation allowance, when relocation is needed.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n\r\nEmployees can expect to be paid a salary between $64,684.00 - $97,026.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
