Uses knowledge of products, raw materials, and operating procedures to control equipment that processes substances into specified products.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nKey Tasks and Responsibilities:\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nResponsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n\r\n\tProduction Technicians at the Muscatine Plant are responsible for the\r\n\r\n\r\nsafe operation of chemical processing equipment. \r\n\r\n\r\n\tRead and understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). \r\n\tStages raw and finished materials.\r\n\tTakes required samples during production process. \r\n\tDecontaminates equipment and piping for maintenance or disposal.\r\n\tUtilizes Personal Protective Equipment Matrix. Maintains inventories of disposable, production, and safety related materials. \r\n\tRecognizes material compatibilities. \r\n\tHandles waste and other contaminated trash per SOP.\r\n\tConducts charging and filling operations. \r\n\tOperates forklifts.\r\n\tMaintains plant Hazard Communication labeling program. \r\n\tPerforms general housekeeping duties throughout the plant area.\r\n\tAssists in product changeover activities. Basics of plant/unit operations and safety equipment. \r\n\tRecognizes and operates basic process elements.\r\n\tAbility to learn RCRA hazardous waste regulations, waste determinations,\r\n\twaste codes, and how to immediately communicate discovery of spills and leaks. Also, must learn labeling, inspection, and recordkeeping requirements to accumulate waste in: satellite accumulation areas, containers, and tanks.\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nRequired Qualifications:\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n\r\n\tHS Diploma or GED with at least that level in reading comprehension, writing, and math. \r\n\tOne year of manufacturing or similar experience, with preference in chemical production. \r\n\tWill use: Computer control/display screens, process pumps and equipment, various hand tools, fork trucks, full-face respirator, self-contained breathing apparatus, and level A suits. \r\n\tPosition requires willingness to climb with the ability to perform elevated work utilizing portable ladders and fall protection equipment. \r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThis posting will expire on November 24th, 2025. \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nEmployees can expect to be paid a salary of $29.47 per hour.
