This position is in our Ag & Trading enterprise, where we connect producers and users of grains and oilseeds around the globe through origination, trading, processing, and distribution. We also offer a range of farmer services and risk management solutions.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Customer Service & Logistics Specialist will coordinate and execute moderately complex trade execution activities. In this role, you will ensure coordination of all required processes for position management, string execution, movement of commodities and maintain consistent communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely statuses of operations. You will execute all the activities related to contractual obligations in a timely manner, in accordance with internal planning and trading strategies.
Key Accountabilities
- Receive and process moderately complex to complex nominations and tenders across multiple platforms following standard procedures.
- Manage sales and purchase contracts to ensure their clauses are fully understood and executable to guarantee legal and fiscal requirement compliance.
- Maintain and foster established relationships with customers, suppliers and other business partners, such as supervisory companies, insurance companies, laboratories, agents, warehouses, trucking companies, buyers and sellers
- Process moderately complex to complex document requests from customers and confirm final shipping and quality documentation and specifications to customer.
- Escalate complex issues that are not commonly defined or known to higher level staff.
- Proactively identify risks and opportunities to improve the order management processes.
- Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum two years of related work experience
- Fluent English
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills, with autonomy to drive own work
- Negotiation skills, strong stakeholder management
- Experience analyzing legal contracts
- Deep knowledge of Incoterms, FOSFA and NOFOTA Trading Rules
- Experience managing and planning import and export processes, customs documentation, shipping, and receiving of foreign merchandise in a global matrixed company
- Advanced Excel skills
- Project Management/CI experience
