Dairy Sales Representative. This relationship-driven role is ideal for a sales professional who understands the dairy industry and thrives on prospecting, building relationships with producers, and guiding customers through the adoption of new technology.
The Dairy Sales Representative will help dairies leverage SomaDetect’s inline milk analysis technology to improve herd health, milk quality, and operational decision-making.

SomaDetect is an agricultural technology company founded in 2016 that develops inline milk analysis sensors and AI-driven software for dairy farms. Installed directly in the milking system, SomaDetect’s technology analyzes milk from each cow at every milking to provide real-time insights on milk quality, herd health, and reproductive status. These insights help dairy producers make better management decisions, reduce issues such as mastitis, and improve overall dairy profitability.
What You’ll Do
- Prospect and develop relationships with dairy producers and industry partners
- Identify opportunities with 1,000+ cow dairies and progressive operations
- Manage the full sales process, from initial outreach through installation coordination
- Work with dealers, distributors, and dairy organizations to introduce SomaDetect technology to new farms
- Educate producers on how milk analytics and herd data can improve management decisions
- Support onboarding and help customers understand how to interpret and use the data platform
- Represent SomaDetect at industry events, trade shows, and farm visits
- Travel throughout the assigned territory to meet with customers and prospects
What You Bring
- Sales experience in the dairy industry or broader agricultural sector
- Strong credibility and relationships within the dairy ecosystem
- Ability to communicate the value of data-driven or technical solutions to producers
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to manage a territory independently
- Strong relationship-building and consultative selling skills
- Willingness to travel throughout the territory to visit dairy operations
Compensation:
- Competitive Base Salary
- Uncapped Commission
