About the role
The Executive Manager ("EM"), Major Agribusiness Clients ("MAC") is a senior leadership role within MAC responsible for managing a portfolio of high value MAC clients, managing a team of up to [6] MAC Relationship Managers and regional leadership (North or South) for all pre-farmgate MAC clients and prospects in their respective region. This will require a strong focus on balancing risk, reward and sustainability as well as a thorough understanding of the competitive environment, proactive engagement with clients, prospects and stakeholders. The EM will balance commercial and prudential outcomes by setting the right tone at the top, exercising management oversight and being in control.
MAC is a significant contributor to the performance of CBAU, representing approximately a third of assets and a quarter of revenue. MAC targets complex Food and Agriculture businesses that are vertically integrate and / or operating pre or post-farm gate, filling the gap between Rural and Wholesale Banking.
The Executive Manager, MAC reports to the General Manager, MAC.
What we are looking for
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business.
- Experienced relationship manager/business banker with at least 15 years of experience in broad Rural and Business/Corporate Banking.
- Experience to articulate and proficiently present to Credit Committees and/or Credit Authorities.
- Proven track record in new business generation and relationship management.
- Intimate understanding of the Australian rural debt market with a focus on large scale family farming operations.
- Diverse agricultural and commodity knowledge.
- Experience in growing and managing a portfolio of sophisticated and complex clients.
- Confidently interact with the Bank's Food & Agribusiness Research teams throughout the international network.
- Identify and drive process change.
- Externally advocate for and facilitate opportunities for Rabobank
- Formulate and effectively communicate strategy
- Strong track record in CRISP (Co-operative values, Respect, Integrity, Sustainability, Professionalism) within the region of influence.
- Ability to coach, mentor and effectively manage MAC managers in relation to MAC marketing and management.
- Effective negotiator and facilitator.
- Effective Deal Team leader.
- Drive change management.
