Requirements: Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months. If applicant has been laid off or providing child or elder care, the employment gap will be increased to 18 months. Previous work history will not apply to applicants who have been full time students consecutively for the last 36 months.
Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.

Inspect and process eggs for incubation, inspect and process chicks,maintainhatchery facility. Other duties may be assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Setting of eggs which consistsofobservesshell color and texture, internal characteristics such as streaks, shadings, discolorations, size and position of yolk, and size of air cell; places hatching eggs in buggies; place broken,dirtyor other substandard eggs in container (15%)
Performs the following sanitation activities:operatetray washer, remove eggshells and culled chicks; clean and sanitize setters, hatchers, egg rooms, and chick processing areas (40%)
Other duties, responsibilities, and activities:
These may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice, such as:sort pedigree eggs by line and hen; clean hatchery office, break room and restrooms; fill in for egg facility during Team Member shortage; sanitize vehicles; perform simple math via assisting with egg orders; properly euthanize weak/ill birds in accordance with company policy(10%)
Biosecurity/Animal Welfare:
Thejobsiteis abiosecureenvironment which requires showering, changing clothing and footwear before entering the facility. Appropriate clothing and footwearisprovided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsiteexcept formedical IDjewelryand body piercings covered by appropriate clothing.Must bewilling to sign an agreement to avoidany avian species(chickens, ducks, birds, etc.). Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or withoutreasonable accommodation.
Physical: Mustuse safe lifting techniques. Mustregularlylift and/or move, up to40 poundsto move items such astray of eggs,etc; tools, such aswheeled buggy, may berequiredtooccasionallylift and/or move up to500 poundssuch asegg buggies. While performing the duties of this job, the employee isregularlyrequired to stand majority of shift (concrete floor/padded floor); walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel objects and controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; climbing/ladder usage;weekly changing of filters and lightbulbs;stoop/bend up to1000times per day; talk or hear; drive a vehicle within the farm complex. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus.Must havegood communicationskills to accurately convey opinions and concerns.
Tools andEquipment: Tablet, Tray Wash, Syringes, Vehicle, Pressure Washer
Environment: Requiredto work on wet, slippery surfacesand alsowork in hot, dry, dusty, wet, icy,snowyand cold environments.
Personal Protective Equipment Required: Safetygoggles,safety glasses,face shield, chemical gloves, waterproof apron, and rubber boots are required. Ear plugs will be used as required. NIOSH approved N95 particulate respirators will be worn as needed.
Chemicals Commonly Used: Disinfectantssuch as Synergize,Virocid,Simple Green, Lysol, Formaldehyde,Chlorofoam, Acid-a-foam, bleach, etc.
Safety:TM is expected to follow all applicable safety policies and procedures. These include but are not limited to Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, LOTO and Personal Protective Equipment. TM is expected toidentify,addressand mitigate safety related risks.
