Our client is seeking a Veterinarian to join a well-established veterinary hospital located in Wichita Falls, Texas. This full-time role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive medical care for companion animals and exotic species within a modern and supportive clinical environment.
The hospital delivers a wide range of veterinary services including preventative care, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry and general wellness treatments. Responsibilities
Perform physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations for companion animals and exotic patients
Diagnose medical conditions and create appropriate treatment plans
Perform routine surgical procedures and dental treatments when required
Operate diagnostic equipment and interpret laboratory and imaging results
Maintain clear and accurate medical records for all patient consultations and procedures
Provide preventative healthcare guidance and treatment recommendations to pet owners
Support clients during difficult situations including end-of-life care discussions
Work collaboratively with veterinary nurses and support staff to maintain efficient hospital operations
Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations, ethical standards and hospital policies
Qualifications Needed
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an AVMA-accredited institution
Eligibility for veterinary licensure in the state of Texas
Ability to obtain DEA registration if required
Strong diagnostic reasoning and clinical decision-making skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Professional and compassionate approach to patient care and client interactions
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented veterinary hospital environment
Physical capability to handle animals and assist with equipment when necessary
