Responsibilities
- Actively manage regulatory matters for Kemin especially for the Japan market including dossier preparations, regulatory submission, license renewals, etc. for Kemin products.
- Maintain and nurture close relationship, follow up and engagement with regulatory authorities to facilitate our product registrations and to anticipate any regulatory/policy changes.
- Work with IPRA team in Singapore/regional HQ to compile product dossiers for Japan.
- Keeping up to date with changes in regulatory legislation and guidelines in Japan and any other countries assigned and share the information within Kemin.
- Interprets and provides regulatory guidance to cross functional team including manufacturers, scientists and marketing and sales colleagues
- Review labels, marketing materials for accuracy and regulations compliance
- Manage and support regulatory operational work assignments
- Respond to customers’ requests and resolve issues regarding regulations and compliance matters
- Support the Regulatory Affairs and R&D Functional Head in various other activities as assigned
- Study and provide accurate interpretation related to scientific and legal documents for regulatory applications
- Support dossier translation, follow up and coordinate with local authorities.
- Contribute and provide regulatory insights pertaining to company policies, practices and systems.
- Ensure that Kemin’s intellectual properties and confidential information are protected and upheld at all times.
- Create and prepare Japanese technical sales and marketing brochures/literatures and attend customer visits for technical translations.
Qualifications
- Degree in Science (Biochemistry/Chemistry/Microbiology/Food Science/ Biotechnology/Biomedical Science/Pharmaceutical Science, Animal/Veterinary Science, etc.) or equivalent from a reputable University.
- Experience in animal feed additive/specialty chemicals registration in Japan is required. Regulatory experience in other countries would be an added advantage.
- Mature, minimally 3 years of regulatory affairs and product registration experience.
- Must have high level of integrity and professionalism to handle confidential company information
- Self-motivated and meticulous with good organizational and negotiation skills
- Good writing, verbal and communication skills required in Japanese and English is a must.
- Active team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Proficient in various Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, AI - Co Pilot, etc.)
- Strong ability to multi-task and follow through with administrative duties and documentation.
- Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced multi-disciplinary environment, with diverse group of stakeholders.
- Experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) inventory related system and/or Product Label creation software is a plus.
- Proficient in the translation of technical literatures/brochures from English to Japanese language and vice versa.
