Role Overview
The Scrum Master for the Decommission, Retirement & Archival Center of Excellence (DRACoE) plays a central role in enabling predictable, compliant, and high‑quality delivery of DRACoE initiatives across multiple squads. The Scrum Master is responsible for enabling effective Agile delivery of practice initiatives that define, improve, and scale the DRACoE. This role focuses on facilitating the DRACoE team’s ceremonies, improving flow, coordinating cross‑functional work, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, while ensuring alignment between cloud engineering, application teams, data archival teams, and product owners, and supporting the effective adoption of AI solutions in line with governance, risk, and compliance requirements.
The Scrum Master also guides teams in adopting responsible and effective AI usage, helping them navigate new ways of working, reduce manual overhead, and improve quality throughout the SDLC.
What will you do in this role
- Facilitate all Scrum events, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand‑ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement.
- Establish, communicate, and reinforce Working Agreements, Definition of Ready, and Definition of Done across teams.
- Partner with the Product Owner to maintain a prioritized and refined backlog that includes AI opportunities and use cases; Process automation ideas ; Technical enablers and Archival workflow enhancements.
- Support teams in understanding and responsibly adopting AI‑based tools that improve planning, reporting, quality, and workflow efficiency.
- Support the day‑to‑day flow of work to help teams meet their sprint commitments and delivery goals.
- Monitor work progress, dependencies, risks, and alignment to sprint goals and DRACoE program outcomes.
- Follow up on retrospective actions and ensure that agreed improvements are implemented consistently.
- Apply appropriate Agile governance, including communication, reporting, traceability, documentation, and metrics.
- Maintain consistent reporting and review delivery metrics (e.g., velocity, throughput, blockers, aging, Agile health).
- Drive cross‑squad alignment, ensuring teams work together seamlessly with shared practices and consistent execution standards.
- Coach and mentor Scrum Masters, engineers, analysts, and other team members on Agile principles and modern ways of working.
- Support teams in maturing their Agile mindset, delivery discipline, and responsible AI adoption.
What should you have
Primary Skill: Agile development and delivery (Scrum, Lean, XP, Kanban)
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or any related field.
7–10 years of experience in Agile development and delivery (Scrum, Lean, XP, Kanban).
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or an equivalent Agile certification required.
- Hands-on experience with the Atlassian toolset, particularly Jira and Confluence.
- Experience in the Pharma or Healthcare sector is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in English.
