If you have the desire to learn, and a passion for the agriculture industry, please come join us and our knowledgeable staff at Todd Greiner Farms.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nLocation: \r\n\r\n\r\n\tHart, MI\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nCompensation:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tBase Pay: $60,000-$70,000 dependent upon experience\r\n\tCommission: commissions earned are based on a percentage of sales generated with a potential of earning $30,000 to $70,000.\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nKey Responsibilities:\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nSales and Account Management\r\n\r\n\r\n\tFinding, developing, and managing relationships with customers to sell produce, ensuring sales targets are met.\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nProcurement & Sourcing\r\n\r\n\r\n\tSourcing, buying, and negotiating directly with farms, growers, and shippers to obtain the best quality, price and volume of produce.\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nSupply Chain & Logistics\r\n\r\n\r\n\tManaging the movement of produce from the field to the final customer, including arranging transportation, managing inventory levels, and optimizing delivery schedules.\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nProblem Solving\r\n\r\n\r\n\tManaging issues such as damaged products, shipping delays, or out-of-stock items to minimize waste and maintain customer satisfaction.\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nTravel and Related\r\n\r\n\r\n\tParticipate in occasional travel for customer meetings, supplier visits, and trade shows.\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nTypical Daily Activities:\r\n\r\nInventory checks for live updates, track outbound trucks to ensure on time deliveries, prospecting of new markets, keep management updated on sales and any issues along with resolutions, update and provide marketing pictures and materials to customers.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nNetworking & Negotiation\r\n\r\n\r\n\tTalking to growers to check on product quality and availability, then negotiating prices with customers.\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nData Analysis\r\n\r\n\r\n\tMonitoring market trends, pricing fluctuations, and competitors to set competitive prices.\r\n\tProvide customers with updates on crop conditions, market fluctuations, and product availability.\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nDocumentation\r\n\r\n\r\n\tPreparing sales contracts, invoices, and shipping documents.\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nQuality Control\r\n\r\n\r\n\tCoordinating with QC Teams to ensure produce meets industry and customer standards.\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nSkills Required:\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nIndustry Knowledge\r\n\r\n\r\n\tUnderstanding of produce commodities, seasonal trends, and perishable inventory management.\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nCommunication, Negotiation, Claims & Collections\r\n\r\n\r\n\tStrong personable and professional communication skills and relationship-building skills with growers, buyers, transportation providers, and internal TGF team members.\r\n\tEnsure timely follow-up on claims and collections related to product quality or delivery disputes.\r\n\tWork Effectively with diverse personality types, fostering strong relationships with all partners.\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nTechnology Proficiency\r\n\r\n\r\n\tProficiency in computer skills (Microsoft Office, Spreadsheets, Famous Software, Email Communication etc.)\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nTime Management\r\n\r\n\r\n\tAbility to handle high-pressure situations and tight, fast-paced deadlines.\r\n\tAbility to solve problems, be organized and multi-task.\r\n\tSelf-starter/motivator\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nExperience\r\n\r\n\r\n\tAssociates or Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing or agriculture preferred.\r\n\tMinimum 3-5 years in buying, selling, or procuring produce\r\n\tProven track record of developing clients and new sales.\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nTo Apply\r\n\r\n\r\n\tThose interested should submit their cover letter, resume and salary requirements using the Apply to this Position icon.\r\n\r\n
