We are looking for ambitious and motivated individuals who are ready to develop their managerial and leadership skills in preparation for a future Marine Farm Manager role.
The Role
The Trainee Manager role is vital in securing specific on-farm continuity and depth of management. It provides a great opportunity to develop our future leaders and build on their skills through personal development and experienced mentoring from a proven Farm Manager. You'll support the Farm Manager in husbandry excellence, staff development and in exceeding biological performance, all whilst focusing on your own development.
The Ideal Candidate
Candidates must be committed to the highest standards of health and safety management and have knowledge in all aspects of fish husbandry including fish health and welfare, feeding optimisation, containment, infrastructure maintenance and skilled seamanship. Above all, the successful candidate will be committed to developing the team and their own leadership potential.
You'll undertake a structured development pathway where you'll learn about, and take responsibility for, stock performance; staff care and development; farm infrastructure; fish health and welfare; budget control and site reporting.
As part of your development, you may be expected to spend time on another farm to cover managerial absence or in another area of the business for your own exposure and learning experience.
