You'll head up our Commercial Agriculture Managers, translating global principles into UK delivery - advancing customer programmes, Scope 3 reduction and a positive future for dairy.
How You Will Make an Impact
Based at Arla House in Leeds, you will lead a team of Commercial Agriculture Managers within the Agriculture, Sustainability and Communication (ASC) organisation, reporting to the UK Agricultural Director. Working with Arla farmer owners, customers and cross-functional stakeholders, you will commercialise the agricultural agenda in the UK-delivering customer programmes, enabling category growth and reinforcing Arla's leadership on animal welfare and sustainability.
- Deliver Farmahead customer programmes in the UK in line with global principles and standards
- Guide the team's Farmahead delivery using advanced knowledge of dairy sector Scope 3 emissions reduction opportunities
- Partner with Commercial to provide agri inputs for own-label tenders across retail, foodservice and public sector
- Align global delivery with UK agri/commercial needs; collaborate with the UK Comms team on internal and external messaging
- Build relationships with elected and non-elected farmer owners and external stakeholders to support Arla's market success and positive dairy narrative
This role sits in the Agriculture, Sustainability & Communication team under the ASC Executive Vice President. You will lead the team's people agenda (talent acquisition/retention, PDPs aligned to Arla's 12 leadership behaviours, KPI-based objective setting) and collaborate with Elected Farmer Working Groups to ensure the farmer voice is heard. UK and some international travel is required.
What Will Make You Successful
You will be educated to degree level (ideally in an agricultural discipline) with deep understanding of the dairy sector and the political and legislative landscape that shapes it. You will bring proven leadership of successful, goal-oriented teams, using data insights to set direction and measure outcomes. You will excel at stakeholder engagement - connecting farmer owners, customers and internal teams - communicating clearly at all levels and aligning global principles to UK market needs. You will demonstrate expertise in customer programme delivery (e.g., Farmahead), a strong grasp of animal welfare assurance schemes, and practical knowledge of Scope 3 reduction levers in dairy. You will be a purposeful, collaborative leader who motivates, directs and develops talent, builds constructive external relationships, and contributes to budget discipline and efficiency goals while actively championing a positive future for dairy.
