Your Role: Executive Director – Site Head, Ft. Dodge, IA
The Executive Director at the Ft. Dodge manufacturing site is accountable for all aspects of operations at the site. Their primary responsibility is to ensure the site consistently supplies high-quality products in a safe manner to meet our customers' needs.
Your Responsibilities
- Overall Site Operations & Supply: Accountable for all aspects of the site operations, ensuring a continual supply of high-quality products, meeting customer needs, and supporting Elanco's manufacturing mission.
- Regulatory Compliance & Quality Culture: Establishes and maintains cGMP, safety, and environmental compliance, ensuring overall regulatory adherence and cultivating a strong quality culture at the site.
- Talent Development & Succession Planning: Leads effective succession planning for key technical and leadership positions, focusing on skill development and fostering employee engagement.
- Financial & Supply Chain Performance: Manages site P&L, financial planning, and strategic planning, ensuring financial commitments are met and customer service metrics (e.g., OTIF, inventory) are exceeded.
- New Product Introduction & Continuous Improvement: Partners with R&D to advance and launch new products and drive continuous improvement through the effective implementation of Lean Six Sigma tools.
What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in a science-related discipline or engineering
- 10+ years of experience in FDA, EMA (EU GMP), USDA regulated biologics, Animal Health, or Human Pharmaceutical manufacturing, spanning multiple operations (e.g., Manufacturing, Quality, Technical Services, Regulatory, Product Development, business areas), including a minimum of 3 years in direct operational leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and manage teams of experienced professionals and leaders of leaders in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
- Proven decision-making skills and ability to develop operational goals and objectives required to carry out mission of the organization.

- Aseptic processing/sterile injectable manufacturing
- Experience with vaccine manufacturing
