About the Role
We are currently looking for an Animal Health Technician who will work under the direction of the Farm Supervisor and in close collaboration with the farm team to support the health, well‑being, and development of all bulls on site. In this role, you will provide necessary health care and treatments, participate in all procedures required to qualify bulls for entry into the A.I. Center and contribute to KPI monitoring activities such as tracking growth and development.
What You Will Do:

Safely handle, restrain, and care for bulls before, during, and after veterinary procedures.

Prepare equipment and medications for veterinary interventions and assist the veterinarian during evaluations and treatments.

Collect samples and perform basic diagnostic tests; clean and sanitize facilities and tools after procedures.

Provide prescribed treatments and daily husbandry care, both mechanical and manual.

Support additional care activities as needed (e.g., hoof trimming, clipping, halter training).

Contribute to clinical assessments with accurate and detailed observations.

Enter and update bull data in the AX management system.

Prepare and submit required documents and certificates for bulls entering the A.I. Center.

Package and ship samples to laboratories.

Produce activity and KPI tracking reports.

Collaborate and participate actively in team meetings.

Maintain inventory of medications, vaccines, disinfectants, and clinical supplies.

Follow internal procedures for ordering and replenishing supplies.

Ensure proper storage of all medical products and equipment.

Perform approved inventory control checks to meet financial and regulatory requirements.
What You Need to Succeed:

College diploma in animal health techniques and/or diploma in Agriculture. Other veterinary training/education will be considered.

At least one year of work experience in support of a large animal veterinary clinic

Work experience in bovine agriculture
-
Background in commercial agriculture is considered an asset

Capacity to work effectively in a team environment is required

Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate and work effect with all colleagues

Work Location & Minimum Pay Rate
This is an in-person role requiring 5 days per week in our Brockville location. This position offers a minimum starting salary of $22.25/hour, with potential compensation enhancements based on applicable experience and qualifications.
