Our client is a well-established aggregation of cattle stations operating across the Kimberley region of Western Australia. With operations spanning remote locations, they are supported by a central administration team based in Broome. The office environment is modern, air-conditioned and known for its friendly, down-to-earth culture where people enjoy working together and supporting one another.
This position reports to the Executive Services Manager and can be tailored to suit either an experienced HR professional, a payroll specialist, or two part-time individuals across both functions. The role is suited to someone organised, approachable and confident working both independently and collaboratively. An immediate or mutually agreed start date is available.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage fortnightly end-to-end payroll, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely processing.
- Provide generalist HR support including onboarding, offboarding, probation and performance management.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with employment legislation and awards.
- Support WHS initiatives, workers compensation cases and respond to HR/payroll queries.
Selection Criteria
- Proven experience in HR and/or payroll, with strong understanding of Australian employment law and Modern Awards.
- High level of accuracy, organisation and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Professional, approachable and able to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong communication skills with a proactive, dependable and 'can-do' attitude.
