Key Responsibilities:
- Assist our veterinary staff (Veterinarians and RVT’s) with various tasks including but not limited to examinations, treatments, surgeries
- Prepare examination rooms and surgical areas for procedures
- Handle and restrain animals during examinations and procedures
- Provide exceptional client service and create a welcoming atmosphere for pet parents
- Maintain a clean and organized environment in the reception area, pet holding areas, and common areas
- Help create a positive, low-stress environment for our patients
- Take initiative and work independently when needed
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing education on animal care and treatment plans
Qualifications:
- Certification from a Veterinary Assistant (VA) or Veterinary Office Assistant (VOA) program is preferred
- Compassionate and nurturing attitude towards animals and clients
- Ability to remain calm and adapt in stressful situations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn and grow within the veterinary field
