\r\n \r\n\r\nLocation: Cambridgeshire\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nWe are seeking a Farm Manager to lead all farming operations on a large-scale arable business spanning over 6,000 acres in Cambridgeshire.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThe farm produces combinable crops and operates at significant scale, with a strong focus on performance and efficiency.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThis ambitious business has continued to grow in recent years, expanding its acreage and building a sizeable contract farming operation alongside its own farming. Ongoing investment across the business includes a modern, well-maintained fleet of machinery and significant investment in grain storage facilities.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nAs Farm Manager, your role will focus on overseeing day-to-day farming operations, managing the farm team and maximising crop yields. While there will be a small amount of paperwork, the majority of administrative and financial work is handled by the farm secretary and the owner.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nAs such, we are looking for a practical, hands-on manager who can cover all roles on the farm and lead by example. This opportunity would suit an experienced Farm Manager, or someone with proven people management responsibility on a large-scale UK operation.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThe role:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tManagement of all farm operations across 6,500 acres of arable cropping\r\n\tTeam leadership and performance management\r\n\tTake a hands-on approach to management including covering machinery operation where required\r\n\tLiasing with agronomist\r\n\tPurchasing inputs and consumables\r\n\tRecord keeping, updating Gatekeeper and operational admin\r\n\tWork closely with the farm owner, contributing operational insight and practical input to farm strategy and capital investment discussions.\r\n\tEnsure high levels of health and safety and compliance with farm assurance\r\n\tRecruitment and workforce planning\r\n\tExploring and managing farm diversification ventures\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nAbout you:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tStrong track record in a farm management position\r\n\tLeadership skills and previous people management experience\r\n\tHands-on approach to farm management\r\n\tTakes initiative to identify and resolve problems efficiently\r\n\tCompetent machinery operator capable of covering all roles on the farm including spraying\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThe Package:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tCompetitive salary reflective of skillset and experience\r\n\t5 bedroom property with garage, stables and paddock\r\n\tFarm truck\r\n\tLaptop and phone\r\n\tPension\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
