This position offers a strong mix of agronomy support and fertilizer plant operations, making it ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to gain hands-on experience in both field and facility environments.\r\n\r\nThis is a full-time opportunity with long-term growth potential in a progressive, team-oriented operation.\r\n\r\nPosition Overview\r\n\r\nThe Agronomy Operations Technician will support agronomy services, fertilizer blending, crop scouting, soil sampling, and general plant operations. This individual will work closely with the agronomy team to ensure accurate product handling, customer support, and operational efficiency throughout the year.\r\n\r\nThis role offers a seasonal rhythm typical of production agriculture, with extended hours during peak agronomy seasons and a more balanced schedule during the off-season.\r\n\r\nPrimary Responsibilities\r\n\r\n- Mix and blend dry and liquid fertilizers according to blend sheets\r\n- Assist with crop scouting, monitoring crop health, and identifying weeds or insects\r\n- Support soil sampling and assist with interpreting soil test results\r\n- Assist in developing fertilizer recommendations\r\n- Coordinate and assist with fertilizer and crop protection applications\r\n- Load and unload agricultural input products\r\n- Support daily operations of fertilizer plant and chemical warehouse\r\n- Perform general maintenance on fertilizer equipment and facilities\r\n- Assist with inventory procedures and product management\r\n- Make product deliveries as needed\r\n\r\nQualifications\r\n\r\n- Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Plant Science, or related agricultural field preferred\r\n- Open to entry-level candidates with relevant education\r\n- Strong math skills and attention to detail\r\n- Mechanically inclined with the ability to operate equipment safely\r\n- Farm background or agricultural retail experience preferred\r\n- CDL preferred or willingness to obtain\r\n- Ability to obtain a Commercial Applicator License\r\n- Strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude\r\n\r\nSchedule & Time Off\r\n\r\n- Off-season schedule allows for standard weekends off with no Sunday work required\r\n- Peak season requires extended hours, including Saturdays and limited Sundays, depending on weather and workload\r\n- Major holidays observed\r\n- One week of paid vacation is provided at the start of employment\r\n\r\nCompensation & Benefits\r\n\r\nCompetitive base salary with bonus opportunities and retirement benefits.
