Job description:
Lyon Veterinary Clinic is seeking an enthusiastic Veterinary Assistant to join our team. We practice high-quality small animal medicine with a strong focus on preventive care, pain management, dentistry, dermatology, internal medicine, and multi-modal treatments. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and providing excellent patient and client care.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient restraint and animal handling
- Support veterinarians with preventive care and treatments
- Communicate with clients regarding preventive medications and vaccination schedules
- Monitor patients during anesthesia and surgical procedures
- Maintain and sterilize surgical instruments
- Use online communication systems and practice software
Qualifications
- Previous small animal veterinary clinic experience required
- Knowledge of preventive medications and vaccination schedules
- Strong communication skills and phone etiquette
- Comfortable working in a team-based environment
- Computer proficiency required
- Experience with anesthesia monitoring, surgical instrument maintenance, or ezyVet software is a plus
Schedule
- Includes some evenings and Saturdays

Experience:
- work with vaccines, medications, and restraint: 2 years (Preferred)
- veterinary medicine (not just animal related): 2 years (Required)
