The Role
We are currently seeking an organised and tech-savvy Human Resource (HR) Officer to join our team in Sydney. Reporting into the Senior HR Director, APAC the HR Officer plays a key support role to the HR team and broader business by responding to all general HR enquiries and coordinating a range of activities across the employee life cycle. This role would suit an established HR generalist looking to work across HR related activities within a large, global business.
You will be joining a close-knit team in a supportive environment with opportunities to enjoy touchpoints throughout the whole employee lifecycle.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Actioning general HR queries coming from across the business, escalating any complex queries if required.
- Management of employee onboarding including creation of employment contracts, contract variations and other employee correspondence.
- HRIS (Workday) management including maintenance of employee data, supporting Managers with action items and processes, and supporting employees with daily utilisation.
- Identifying Workday process improvements, working with local HR and global HRIS teams to implement relevant changes.
- Regular and ad-hoc Workday reporting relating to employee data compliance, auditing etc. for both internal and external audiences.
- Provision of support to cyclical HR processes including the annual performance review, compensation review planning processes and policy reviews.
- Provision of support to roll out and adoption of global HR projects relating to Diversity & Inclusion, compliance training, engagement surveys, and Workday initiatives.
- Support with internal communication using Canva to create various types of comms, such as newsletters, monthly updates, HR Dashboard and other ad hoc employee communication.
- Creation and coordination of internal communications in collaboration with HR Business Partners and other internal stakeholders.
- Ad hoc support to talent acquisition processes including initiating background checks, medicals, and psychometric assessment as well as shortlisting, phone screening and scheduling of interviews.
About You
To be successful you will have;
- Recent tertiary qualifications in HR and/or demonstrated 2-5 years experience in a similar HR role.
- Previous experience using Workday or a Human Resources Information System (preferred).
- A creative mindset and ability to take processes and improve them.
- A general understanding of human resources practices and employment law.
- Proven ability to achieve thoroughness and accuracy when completing tasks.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines, targets, and other key deliverables.
- A team player attitude, acting as a supportive contributor to the team.
- A proactive approach to work and an openness to contributing new ideas to our way of working.
