Your Role:
This role is responsible for the end-to-end of local accounting, compliance, tax, and treasury operations for Elanco Korea. You will manage monthly closing activities, ensure strict adherence to local tax compliance (including VAT), and oversee regulatory reporting to the Bank of Korea. As a key bridge between local business partners and global corporate teams, you will also provide oversight for the EBS (Elanco Business Solutions) team and drive a strong compliance culture through robust internal controls and audit excellence.
Your Responsibilities:
Accounting & General
- Manage local accounting and tax processes following Elanco policies and processes.
- Prepare necessary monthly closing entries by working closely with the business partners to determine what, if any, activities occurred during the month that require manual journal entries.
- Work with the business process outsource team (responsible for the transaction accounting for O2C, P2P, product costing and R2R) to answer questions, elevate issues, etc.
- Execute all local legal entity transformation activities as directed by Corporate Tax team and by the third party Tax Partner.
- Serves as a local super user (key user) for major accounting processes affecting financial reporting (including, but not limited to, O2C, P2P, R2R, etc.).
- Act as a primary point of contact for T&E inquiries and policy guidance.
Controls
- Demonstrate a strong compliance oriented mindset & help to build a strong compliance culture.
- Awareness of all applicable financial/taxation standards, process documentation & training materials to ensure compliant execution of daily operations.
- Ensure ownership for all applicable financial reporting and operational controls as well as broader oversight for all controls that influence the financial statements.
- Engage with External/Internal Audit/Taxation authorities to ensure full ownership and excellence in all Group/Statutory/Internal/Taxation/Regulatory audits.
- Conduct monthly B/S and P/L reconciliations, providing commentary to explain significant financial variances.
Tax
- Responsible for local tax compliance activities and management of associated of payments as coordinated with corporate tax and with third party tax providers.
- Perform the VAT reconciliation and ensure timely submission of VAT returns.
Treasury
- Conduct review of cash transaction.
- Responsible for supporting Elanco’s working capital reporting and enabling business to maintain optimal working capital levels.
- Review and collecting the netting report data and reporting of netting transactions to the Bank of Korea.
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
- Education:Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience:A minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate accounting, local tax compliance, or financial operations within a multinational environment.
- Top 2 Skills:Proficiency in end-to-end month-end closing processes and deep expertise in local Korean tax regulations (VAT) and regulatory reporting to the Bank of Korea.

- Prior involvement in executing local legal entity transformation activities or corporate restructuring projects.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP or Workday) with the ability to serve as a local "Super User."
- Strong track record of leading successful interactions with external auditors and government taxation authorities.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial variances and provide strategic insights for working capital optimization.
