Role overview
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer with strong capabilities across AWS, Azure, CI/CD automation, networking, IaC, and cloud resource provisioning, infrastructure sizing, and network architecture.
This role is core to building and maintain scalable, secure, cost‑efficient, and automated cloud platforms that power our enterprise applications, data products, and microservices.
The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on technical expertise, a problem-solving mindset, and strong ownership to deliver reliable, secure, and automated cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure Engineering (AWS + Azure)
- Design, provision, and manage cloud infrastructure in AWS and Azure including:
- EC2/VMs, VPC/VNet, Subnets, Route Tables, Gateways, IAM, S3/Blob Storage, Load Balancers, Kubernetes/EKS/AKS, Lambda/Functions.
- Perform infrastructure sizing for compute, storage, and network workloads.
- Implement scalable, fault-tolerant, and cost‑optimized architectures.
- Architect network components:
- VPC/VNet design
- Routing, NAT/Transit Gateways
- Firewalls, DNS, API Gateway, Private Endpoints
- Support secure and compliant cloud resource provisioning following enterprise standards.
- Advanced Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience, including:
- Deep expertise in Terraform modules, state management, workspaces, and remote backend
- Experience with CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep templates
- Ability to design multi‑environment, multi‑account IaC architectures
CI/CD & Deployment Automation
- Build and maintain enterprise-level CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions (mandatory), Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
- Automate deployments for:
- Microservices
- APIs
- Web/UI Apps
- Data Pipelines & ETL/ELT
- Implement advanced deployment strategies:
- Blue–Green, Rolling, Canary
- Automate quality gates, security checks, and compliance validations.
- Integrate pipelines with container registries and artifact repositories (JFrog Artifactory/Xray).
Security, Compliance & Vulnerability Management
- Integrate and manage security scanning tools:
- SonarQube (code quality & SAST)
- Wiz / Wiz Scan (cloud security posture, vulnerability assessment)
- JFrog Xray (dependency & container vulnerability scanning)
- Enforce DevSecOps practices within pipelines:
- SAST, DAST, license checks, secrets scanning
- Implement IAM least-privilege policies, encryption standards, and compliance guardrails.
Automation & Infrastructure as Code
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using:
- Terraform (primary)
- CloudFormation or ARM/Bicep templates (optional)
- Create reusable IaC modules, automate environment provisioning, and enforce configuration drift controls.
- Build automated monitoring, logs retention, and backup policies.
Observability, Monitoring & Incident Response
- Implement logging, monitoring, and tracing using:
- CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK/EFK, Azure Monitor, App Insights
- Define SLIs/SLOs and error budgets.
- Drive incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and corrective actions.
- Build dashboards, alerts, and on-call automation.
Collaboration, Leadership & Team Culture
- Partner with engineering lead, QA, architecture, and platform teams to adopt DevOps best practices.
- Serve as a mentor to junior DevOps engineers.
- Demonstrate strong accountability, ownership, and a proactive mindset.
- Promote a culture of automation-first, quality-first, and self-service capabilities.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Write unit and integration tests for UI components (Jest, React Testing Library).
- Optimize front-end performance (lazy loading, bundling, caching).
- Document UI components, APIs, and development workflows.

Qualifications:
- 8+ years of DevOps, Cloud, or Platform Engineering experience.
- 6+ years’ hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
- 5-7 years Azure cloud provisioning experience.
- Strong working knowledge of:
- VPC/VNet design, routing, NAT, firewalling
- Load balancers, DNS, certificates, reverse proxies
- Expertise in CI/CD using GitHub Actions (required), Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash.
- Experience with containers & orchestration:
- Docker, Kubernetes (EKS/AKS)
- Infrastructure as Code:
- Terraform (mandatory), CloudFormation/Bicep is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with vulnerability assessment tools:
- SonarQube, Wiz, JFrog Xray
Preferred Qualifications

Nice to Have:

Exposure to cost management tools and best practices across AWS and Azure.
Experience with designing zero‑downtime deployment patterns and resilience engineering (chaos testing, fault injection).
Knowledge of multi-account / multi-subscription landing zones, cloud governance, and policy-as-code (OPA / Azure Policy).
Prior involvement in building internal developer platforms (IDP) or self‑service DevOps frameworks.
