At Yeo Valley Farms, an opportunity has arisen for a Herds Person on our Dairy Units.This is an excellent opportunity to join an established team within a National Landscape location,looking after our pedigree British Friesian herd with excellent facilities, supplying Organic milkto Yeo Valley. The Farm is in a fantastic location based in North Somerset, twenty-five minutesfrom Bristol, Bath, the M5 and Bristol Airport.We are proud to be a progressive business running a Regenerative Organic Farming System. Ourhigh standards put us forward as finalists for this year's NMR Gold Cup.This role can be tailored to suit an experienced Herdsperson or someone looking to take on moreresponsibility and develop within an experienced team.
Key tasks:
- Hands on role with all tasks associated with the Dairy Herd such as Milking, Feeding, Grazing, Vet Routines, Calving, Feeding Calves, etc.
- Responsible for Herd Health and Animal Welfare
- Responsible for Record Keeping and Data Entry
- Working within a team
Hours: This role is a 55 hour positionSalary: Up to £33,500 dependant on experience
