\r\n\r\nRequisition ID: 39887 \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nJob Description\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nAbout the role.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nOur Maintenance team is looking for a Maintenance Technician who is able to work the night shift (7:00pm – 7:00am) on a schedule that works 2 shifts on and then 2 shifts off and every second weekend (Fri, Sat and Sun). We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking individual to become part of our McCain Team here in Easton. This role is responsible for repairing and maintaining equipment using personal and company provided hand and power tools. \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nWhat you’ll be doing.\r\n\r\n\r\n\tDismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, lifts, and power tools. \r\n\tExamine form and texture of parts to detect imperfection.\r\n\tInspect used parts to determine changes in functional parts of devices and control instruments.\r\n\tLubricate equipment per daily, weekly, bi-weekly or monthly schedule.\r\n\tObserve mechanical equipment in operation and troubleshoot issues during break downs.\r\n\tRepair and maintain, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturers specifications machinery and mechanical equipment such as pumps, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines, and equipment.\r\n\tRepair various piping systems to include but not limited to steam, wastewater, high pressure, ammonia, and hydraulics.\r\n\tMay set up or operate various metal working tools to make repair parts.\r\n\tAssist with carpentry and masonry projects as needed.\r\n\tEnter confined spaces, after receiving proper training and certification.\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\r\nWhat you’ll need to be successful.\r\n\r\n\r\n\tHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.\r\n\tValid State of Maine Driver’s license or ability to transfer an out of state license.\r\n\tMinimum of 3 months related experience in maintenance in a manufacturing environment including experience with motors and controls, packaging operations, experience with conveyors, otters, and other equipment.\r\n\tHave or be able to obtain McCain Forklift Certification, Scissor Lift Certification, & Boom Lift Certifications\r\n\tKnowledge of or ability to learn touch screen computer systems and the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)\r\n\tAbility to read drawing schematics, piping and instrumentation drawings (P & Ids), and blueprints (mechanical drawings)\r\n\tKnowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems; pumps, gearboxes, drive belts, and sprockets\r\n\tKnows how to use basic hand tools, drills, grinders, etc.\r\n\tAbility to perform general fabrication work using welders, torches, roller, lathe, plasma torches, metal break and metal shear\r\n\tAbility to stand, walk, kneel, crawl and ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally more than 100 pounds.\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\r\nBenefits of the role.\r\n\r\n\r\n\t$27.55 per hour, plus $2 per hour shift differential\r\n\tPaid vacation and holidays\r\n\t401k with up to 6% company match\r\n\tShort and Long-Term Disability\r\n\tAdoption Assistance\r\n\tInfertility Assistance\r\n\tEducation Reimbursement Assistance\r\n\tPaid Maternity and Paternity Leave\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\r\nAbout McCain\r\n\r\nWe are a large Food Manufacturing company, with a team of more than 20,000 around the world.
