Position Overview
We are seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or a highly experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who loves patient care, enjoys a variety of medical and surgical cases, and thrives in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
New RVT graduates are encouraged to apply.
Externship opportunities are available for students.
Compensation is negotiable and will be based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
- Full-time preferred (part-time available)
- 2–4 days per week
- Typical hours: 7:40 AM – 6:30 PM
- One Saturday per month: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- No on-call
- Flexible scheduling available
Responsibilities
Responsibilities reflect those of a typical general practice and may include:
- Assisting veterinarians during exams, treatments, and surgeries
- Anesthesia monitoring and surgical support
- Placing IV catheters, blood draws, lab work, and diagnostic imaging
- Dental cleanings and dentistry support
- Fear-free, compassionate handling of all patients
- Client communication and discharge instructions
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment
