Role Overview:
We are seeking an SAP Global Trade Services (GTS E4H) Specialist to support the analysis, configuration, implementation, and ongoing operation of SAP GTS E4H solutions. This role is well suited for a developing SAP professional who is building depth in global trade compliance and customs processes and will work closely with senior specialists, GTS Lead, business stakeholders, and global IT teams.
What will you do in this role:
- Support the configuration, testing, and deployment of SAP GTS E4H capabilities, including export/import compliance, sanctioned party screening, embargo checking, product classification, and customs management.
- Assist in gathering and analyzing business requirements and translating them into SAP GTS E4H functional designs under guidance from senior team members.
- Support end to end integration between SAP GTS E4H and related SAP modules such as SD, MM, Logistics Execution, and Finance.
- Participate in testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Support data setup, loading, and validation activities related to trade master data (e.g., product classifications, business partners, legal regulations).
- Monitor, analyze, and help resolve SAP GTS E4H issues, escalating complex items and supporting root cause analysis.
- Assist with system enhancements, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives within the GTS E4H platform.
- Develop and maintain documentation and support knowledge transfer and training for business users and IT peers.
- Ensure solutions comply with internal IT standards, controls, and audit requirements related to trade compliance.
What Should you have:
Education Level:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
Required Skills:
- 2–4 years of experience working with SAP, with exposure to SAP GTS, supply chain, logistics, or compliance-related processes.
- Hands on experience or foundational knowledge of SAP GTS E4H; willingness and ability to deepen expertise in global trade compliance.
- Understanding of global trade concepts such as export controls, customs processes, sanctioned party screening, or product classification.
- Knowledge on SAP OTC (Order to Cash) process.
- Exposure to SAP integrations using IDOCs, APIs, or middleware (e.g., BTP) is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in cross functional and global teams within a structured enterprise environment.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with both technical teams and business partners.
- Willingness to contribute across multiple project phases, including design support, testing, cutover, and hyper care.
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Background or interest in Life Sciences, pharmaceuticals, or other regulated industries.
- Experience with tools such as JIRA, ServiceNow, HP ALM, or similar tracking/testing tools.
- Understanding of order to delivery or logistics processes that intersect with trade compliance.
