Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians in providing care for animals
- Prepare examination rooms and equipment for appointments
- Restrain animals during examinations and procedures
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as blood work and urinalysis
- Clean and sanitize kennels, exam rooms, and surgical areas
- Assist with pet grooming, including bathing and brushing
- Assist with dog training sessions
Use radiology equipment
Recordkeeping using Avimark veterinary software program
Reporting controlled drug information for regulatory proposes
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care facility is preferred
- Knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques
- Familiarity with common veterinary procedures and medications
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
