Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care and welfare, along with the technical skills necessary to assist veterinarians in diagnosing and treating a variety of animals. This role is essential in providing high-quality veterinary services and ensuring the well-being of our patients.

Duties

Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures.
Perform animal handling and restraint techniques to ensure safety for both pets and staff.
Conduct laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis, to aid in diagnosis.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.
Provide education to pet owners on animal husbandry, nutrition, and preventive care.
Assist with dental cleanings and familiarize yourself with dental terminology.
Support grooming services as needed, ensuring pets are clean and comfortable.
Monitor vital signs and overall health of animals during procedures or recovery

Qualifications

Certification or degree in Veterinary Technology is preferred; experience in a veterinary setting is highly valued.
Strong knowledge of animal physiology, anatomy, and common diseases.
Familiarity with animal catheterization techniques is a plus.
Experience in laboratory procedures related to veterinary medicine is beneficial.
Proficiency in animal handling skills to ensure safe interactions with various species.
Ability to work effectively within a team environment while demonstrating excellent communication skills.
A genuine love for animals and commitment to their care and welfare.
Knowledge of basic and commonly used pharmaceuticals.

Pay: $20.00 - $34.00 per hour
