Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agriculture and environmental science, with hands-on experience in farming and animal care. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, customer service skills, and the ability to work in various outdoor environments. The Technician will play a crucial role in caring for fish and communicating with customers.

Duties

Receiving, feeding, and monitoring fish being held at our facility
Assisting with collection of eggs, incubation, moving, and raising of fish
Cleaning tanks and equipment
Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair equipment
Driving to deliver fish to ponds and lakes
Educating customers
Opening and closing our retail facility
Packaging and loading fish and products for customers
Transporting and installing products including docks, aerators, and fountains as needed
Answering calls and emails
Shipping orders of products and fish
Handle customer inquiries and communications via phone, email, and in person
Schedule and coordinate customer pickups, deliveries, and installations
Lift heavy materials or equipment as necessary to support operational needs.
Other responsibilities as required

Requirements

Minimum education of an associate degree is required.
Integrity, clear communication skills, and a commitment to quality.
Candidates need to be comfortable communicating with the public
Have a valid driver's license, and clean driving record.
Experience with animal handling and care techniques.
Preference will be given to candidates that possess knowledge of local freshwater fish and ecology.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
