A state-of-the-art, privately owned 60,000 sq. ft. referral and emergency hospital located just 40 minutes from downtown Toronto is seeking a Board-Certified Criticalist (ACVECC/ECVECC) to join their expanding team.

This is an opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking hospital that is building one of Canada’s leading referral centers. With a focus on collaboration, innovation, and excellence in patient care, the hospital is developing an ICU without walls — integrating emergency and critical care seamlessly across services.

About the Role
You’ll join three boarded Criticalists in leading ICU and ER services, with the support of an outstanding multidisciplinary team including Surgeons, Internists, Neurologists, Anesthesiologists, Ophthalmologists, Dermatologists, Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation specialists, and highly skilled RVTs.

Your focus will be on providing cutting-edge care to critically ill and complex patients, while mentoring colleagues and shaping the future of emergency and ICU services.

Facilities & EquipmentThe hospital is purpose-built and equipped to support advanced critical care, including:

3.0T MRI, 128-slice GE CT, fluoroscopy, digital X-ray, and ultrasound
Mechanical ventilation, advanced monitoring systems, and transfusion medicine capabilities
Full in-house IDEXX laboratory
Multiple surgical suites and dedicated ICU spaces

The Ideal Candidate

Diplomate of ACVECC or ECVECC (or residency-trained, board-eligible)
Passion for advanced critical care and collaborative case management
Strong leadership, mentoring, and teaching skills
Enthusiastic about contributing to a hospital that values innovation, communication, and culture
