Our Vail Valley Veterinary practice is a full-service animal hospital and mobile unit with on-call emergency care and preventative veterinary care for both small and large animals. We’re equipped with the latest, state of the art equipment to provide only the most optimal veterinary care, including digital radiography for small animals and horses, orthopedic specialty surgeries, cancer surgeries, complex wound care and intensive care hospitalization. Overview:

**$5,000.00 Sign-On Bonus**

Mountain Animal Hospital is looking for a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our expanding team. In this role, you will help us deliver exceptional services to our clients and their pets. Pay range of $25.00-$30.00 per hour based on experience.

Responsibilities / Qualifications:

Position Skills:

Professional client communication and education, obtaining medical histories and symptoms
Laboratory procedures including but not limited to: hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals
Diagnostic imaging and implementing safety protocols for fellow staff members
Nursing skills including: restraining patients, administering medications PO/IV/SUBQ/IM, applying and maintaining bandages, proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture, surgery prep, anaesthesia monitoring
Proficient in dental prophylaxis

Position Requirements:

Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state.
Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology
