Job Opening: Overnight Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT)

Catskill Veterinary Services is seeking a dedicated and skilled Overnight Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join their team. Key Responsibilities

Provide continuous, high-quality care and monitoring to hospitalized and critical patients throughout the night.
Triage and assist veterinarians with any after-hours emergency procedures.
Administer medications, manage IV catheters and fluids, and perform other treatments as directed for overnight patients.
Perform diagnostic tests, maintain accurate medical records for overnight care, and ensure a smooth handover to the morning team.
Training: The clinic is willing to train the right individual in advanced skills.

Qualifications

License: Must be a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT). This is a firm requirement.
Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience is preferred, especially in an emergency or hospital setting.
Skills: Must be proficient in handling dogs and cats. Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently are essential.

Schedule & Compensation

Pay Range: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour, based on experience and education. A shift differential may be available for overnight work.
Shifts: This is a full-time, dedicated overnight position consisting of 10 or 12-hour shifts. Availability to work every weekend is required.
