SouthPark Animal Hospital is a five doctor veterinary hospital in the heart of South Charlotte. We are seeking an additional full-time Veterinary Receptionist to join our growing fast paced practice team of skilled providers. Our Client Services Team provides the first and last impression of every client transaction and works closely with the Veterinary Medical Team to provide the highest quality of medicine in a compassionate caring environment where all of the staff members passionately love animals. We offer preventative care, general medicine, surgery, digital radiology, veterinary dentistry, surgery, and full in-house Idexx lab services. Applicants need experience handling professional calls and dealing with the needs and demands of clients who love their pets and want the best service to care for them. Staff hours average 38-43 hrs. per week (Mon.-Fri. ). Candidates skilled in the responsibilities listed below are welcome to apply. Each candidate must have strong client communication skills, a positive attitude, problem solving skills, and a team spirit. Knowledge of the EzyVet cloud based practice management software is a plus. Experience working in a veterinary hospital is also a plus. Hourly compensation is based upon experience, responsibility, knowledge, skill competency and attitude.

Responsibilities of the Client Services Representative include but are not limited to performing the following:

Maintain competency on a team of employees

Answer phones promptly, politely, and proficiently

Maintain professionalism under pressure, calm under stress

Work in a fast paced and demanding environment

Schedule appointments, maintain and update patient records

Multi-task and complete tasks accurately and thoroughly

Genuinely like the human companions of our furry patients

Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills

Exhibit competency in computer skills and cloud based management software

Ability to type at least 40 words per minute

Demonstrate the ability to send a professional email

Have the ability to send a professional text or voice mail message

Demonstrate compassionate care at all times

Maintain confidentiality, solve problems and handle stressful situations

Communicate with pet parents, vendors, pharmacies, and service techs

Understand basic principles of accounting

Adapt to changes in protocols due to events such as the Covid-19 Pandemic
