Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Veterinarians to join our team of Weekend Urgent Care Relief doctors. We offer Urgent Care Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 7 pm. You can work as many or as few weekend days as you want. It's a great way to pick up extra income doing what you love! We schedule 3 to 6 months out so you know what your availability for shifts are. The ideal candidates will have a strong passion for animal and client care, with the ability to diagnose and treat a variety of animal health issues. This role requires excellent communication skills, a commitment to providing high-quality veterinary services, and the ability to work collaboratively and respectfully with staff in a small intimate Veterinary Urgent Care setting.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose any medical conditions.
Administer medications, and treatments as needed.
Provide critical care for animals in emergency situations.
Utilize veterinary terminology accurately in communication with staff and clients.
Maintain accurate medical records for all patients treated.
Educate pet owners on proper animal care, and health measures.
Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient clinic operations.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, MVD) degree from an accredited institution.
Valid veterinary license to practice in the state of employment and DEA license
Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and husbandry practices.
Proficiency in dog handling and animal restraint techniques.
Experience with veterinary critical care and animal catheterization is preferred.
Familiarity with laboratory and radiography procedures related to diagnostics
Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and team members.
