Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, cleaning enclosures, and monitoring behavior to ensure their comfort and safety.
Assist with animal restraint during examinations, treatments, or procedures to ensure safety for both animals and staff.
Administer medications accurately following veterinary instructions, including injections, oral medications, or topical treatments.
Support veterinary team members by handling animals during examinations or surgeries using proper restraint techniques.
Maintain detailed records of animal health, treatments administered, and behavioral observations in accordance with clinic protocols.
Assist with laboratory procedures such as sample collection or sample processing to aid in diagnostic testing.
Support pet owners and visitors at the front desk by providing information about animal care services and scheduling appointments.
Follow strict aseptic techniques during medical procedures to prevent infection and ensure animal safety.
Handle a variety of species including dogs, cats, horses, and other small or exotic animals with confidence and compassion.
Support animal husbandry tasks such as cleaning kennels, bedding changes, and ensuring proper nutrition for all animals in our care.
Participate in training sessions on veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and specialized procedures like catheterization or laboratory techniques to enhance your skills.

Prior kennel experience or hands-on animal husbandry experience is highly preferred.
Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and basic medical procedures is essential.
Experience with dog handling, equine care, or veterinary clinic operations will be advantageous.
Ability to perform animal restraint safely and effectively across different species.
Familiarity with medication administration techniques including injections and topical treatments.
Strong understanding of aseptic technique to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
Previous veterinary assistant or clinic experience is a plus; certification as a veterinary technician or assistant is beneficial but not required.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners, team members, and visitors at the front desk.
