Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Stable Hand to join our team at a reputable equestrian facility in Stouffville Ontario. This role is essential in maintaining the health, safety, and well-being of our horses, as well as ensuring the smooth operation of daily farm activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a passion for animals, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in an outdoor environment.

Duties

Feed, water, and groom horses daily, ensuring their health and cleanliness
Clean stalls, paddocks, and surrounding areas to maintain hygiene and safety standards
Handle farm machinery and equipment for various tasks such as mucking stalls or moving feed
Perform heavy lifting when necessary, including moving hay bales or equipment
Maintain safety protocols around farm machinery and during routine chores
Monitor horses for signs of illness or injury and report concerns to management
Assist with general maintenance of the stable and surrounding farm areas as needed

Qualifications

Prior experience working with horses or in a farm environment is mandatory
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Familiarity with farm machinery and equipment operation is a plus
Strong physical stamina and endurance to handle outdoor work in various weather conditions
Ability to follow instructions carefully and work independently or as part of a team
A genuine interest in animal care and farm operations
