About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Poultry Assistant Manager to join our team at our farm in Peats Ridge, NSW.

This is a full-time, hands-on position where you will work closely with the Farm Manager to oversee the daily operations of our poultry farm. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and passionate about animal welfare and sustainable agriculture.

Key Responsibilities

· Oversee the daily care and wellbeing of the flock, including feeding, watering, and monitoring animal health.

· Implement preventative health measures, administer treatments, and respond promptly to animal health concerns.

· Maintain accurate and detailed records of flock health, production, inventory, and other farm operations.

· Assist in introducing and maintaining sustainable farming practices and environmental initiatives.

· Work alongside the Farm Manager to identify and resolve operational challenges.

· Provide guidance, training, and support to farm staff to ensure high standards of animal care and farm safety.

· Ensure compliance with all relevant workplace health & safety, biosecurity, and animal welfare regulations.

· Availability to work nights, weekends, and public holidays as required to maintain smooth farm operations.

What We’re Looking For

· Minimum 2 years’ experience in poultry farming or in a similar assistant management role within agriculture, preferably in a commercial setting.

· Strong knowledge of poultry husbandry, flock health, and modern farming practices.

· Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.

· Comfortable using farm management software and maintaining detailed farm records.

· Effective communication and leadership skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

· Physically fit and capable of performing manual farm duties.

· A genuine passion for animal welfare and sustainable agriculture.

· Must currently live in Australia – applications from outside of Australia will not be considered.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
