Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team of pet sitters. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care and welfare, along with relevant experience for pet sitting. This role involves pet nursing, dog walking, overnight stay visits and pet sitting.

Provide care for animals in the comfortoftheirhome, including feeding, watering, and walking.
Perform animal restraint techniques to ensure safety during treatments.
Administer medications as directed by the veterinarian or technician.
Utilize proper aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection.
Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding care instructions and treatment

Skills

Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal anatomy.
Experience in animal handling, including dog handling and equine experience.
Familiarity with animal husbandry practices and pet care routines.
Ability to perform animal catheterization and understand animal physiology.
Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or as a veterinary assistant is preferred.
