Job Description:
Title: Assistant Aquaculture Technician
Reports to: Lead Aquaculture Technician
We are looking for a mechanically minded, physically strong candidate to help with maintenance and repairs on the farm. The ideal candidate will be a person that can be trained to learn the mechanics of the farm, with the goal of assisting repairs and maintenance. Must be OK with getting dirty and wet once in a while. Work involves occasional heavy lifting and occasional handling of large, strong fish. No previous aquaculture experience is necessary, but plumbing/pump repair experience is a huge plus.

Expected Hours of Work:
This job will start as part-time hourly (flexible, to be discussed), with opportunity to expand, and pay based upon experience and/or performance. The facility operates 24/7, and the ideal candidate will be local and available to help during occasional weather events that can cause mechanical issues.

Essential Skills for Ideal Candidate:
Willingness to learn with a good attitude
Strength to lift 50lb feed bags repeatedly (every 2 months)
Basic knowledge of plumbing & electrical
Ability to use common hand tools safely and effectively
Willingness to get wet and do occasional "dirty work"

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $30.00 per hour
