Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our compassionate veterinary team. The RVT will play a vital role in providing high-quality animal care, supporting veterinarians, and ensuring the well-being of our diverse patient population. Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians with medical examinations, diagnostics, and treatments
Perform laboratory tests and analyze results to aid in diagnosis
Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed
Handle and restrain animals safely using proper animal restraint techniques
Conduct animal catheterization and manage intravenous lines
Maintain aseptic techniques during surgical procedures and wound care
Support pet grooming, pet care, and pet handling activities to ensure comfort and safety
Operate diagnostic equipment including X-ray machines and laboratory instruments
Monitor anesthesia during surgeries and recovery processes
Maintain accurate medical records and document all procedures performed
Assist with dental procedures using dental terminology and techniques
Manage kennel duties including animal husbandry and basic pet care

Skills

Proven experience as a Veterinary Technician or similar role with veterinary critical care experience preferred
Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary procedures
Experience with laboratory testing, X-ray imaging, and aseptic techniques
Skilled in dog handling, animal restraint, and pet grooming techniques
Familiarity with equine care is a plus but not required
Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations requiring veterinary critical care skills
Excellent communication skills for client education regarding pet care and treatment plans
Knowledge of dental terminology related to veterinary dentistry practices
Ability to handle animals safely with compassion and professionalism across various species including dogs, cats, and horses if applicable
Knowledge of Practice Management Software - Vetup is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour
