Veterinary Receptionist (Full-Time)

We’re a small animal, family-owned veterinary clinic in Dubbo with a supportive and friendly team, and we’re looking for a full-time Receptionist to join us.

About the Role

As the first point of contact for our clients and their pets, you’ll play an important role in creating a warm, welcoming experience from the moment they call or walk through our doors.

You’ll be well supported in this position, working alongside a second receptionist. We genuinely value work–life balance and teamwork.

Your responsibilities will include:

Answering phone calls, providing advice, and booking appointments (We use RX Works software)
Welcoming clients and patients at the front desk and keeping them comfortable while they wait
Managing online bookings (we’ve recently introduced this system to help reduce phone pressure on reception)
Meeting surgery patients for the day and occasionally assisting with admissions (with strong support from our nursing team)
Responding to email enquiries
Processing prescription refills
Handling payments and general administrative tasks

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

Has excellent customer service skills and a warm, welcoming manner
Communicates clearly and professionally
Works well as part of a team, liaising between front-of-house, vets, and support staff
Is organised, confident with computers, and remains calm during busy periods
Absolutely loves animals — and people!

Previous experience in a veterinary clinic is ideal but not essential.
