Ambassador Long Beach Veterinary Hospital is seeking a motivated, compassionate, and dependable Veterinary Assistant to join our team. This dual-role position is ideal for someone who enjoys both client interaction and hands-on patient care. Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to outstanding client service are essential.

Responsibilities

Reception Duties:

Greet clients and patients with professionalism and compassion
Answer multi-line phones and schedule appointments efficiently
Check clients in and out and process payments
Communicate clearly with clients regarding services, estimates, and hospital policies
Maintain accurate client and patient records
Support front-desk operations to ensure smooth workflow

Veterinary Assistant Duties:

Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams and treatments
Safely restrain animals for examinations and procedures
Prepare exam rooms and maintain cleanliness and organization
Clean, sanitize, and maintain medical equipment and treatment areas
Assist with basic patient care, including monitoring, feeding, and comfort
Help maintain inventory and restock supplies as needed
Support the medical team to ensure efficient patient flow

Qualifications

1–3 years of experience in a veterinary or medical setting required
Excellent client communication and customer service skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable handling and restraining animals safely
EzyVet experience is a plus but not required
Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
