Duties

Conduct thorough examinations and diagnose health issues in a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, and some other small domestic pets.
Perform medical procedures such as vaccinations, surgeries, and laboratory tests with precision and care.
Compassionately and thoroughly communicate with pet owners, utilizing veterinary terminology accurately to communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and instructions to pet owners.
Responsible for routine surgical procedures such as spays, neuters, abscesses, wound management, dental extractions and other routine procedures as needed.
Maintain required medical records, and supervising treatment protocols.
Contribute leadership to team efforts by sharing expertise in veterinary critical care and emergency response situations.

Requirements

Veterinary degree from an accredited institution with valid licensure or eligibility to practice veterinary medicine in Washington State.
Experience with critical cases is highly desirable for managing urgent cases effectively. We do utilize emergency hospitals in our area extensively.
Excellent communication skills for explaining medical conditions and guiding pet owners to choose options for their pets that are best fit for their pets as well as advocating for the safety of the family.
Demonstrated knowledge of animal husbandry practices and the standards of care.
Capable of working efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
