We are open Monday–Saturday with some late evenings and offer an alternative workweek. Flexibility in scheduling is preferred. Saturday shifts are mandatory.

Be the face of the hospital — as a member of our front desk staff, you will represent Irving Pet Hospital as the first and last point of contact for our clients at every visit. You must be able to conduct yourself in a friendly and professional manner at all times.

Experience is preferred, but we will train the right person. Wages are commensurate with experience.

Job Requirements:

Self-starter able to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work as an effective team player
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Customer service experience highly recommended
Veterinary hospital experience preferred
Knowledge of basic animal care or a willingness to learn — a love of animals and their caretakers is required
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Ability to handle difficult and emotional situations with care and compassion
Personable and professional telephone etiquette
Experience handling multiple phone lines is a plus
Comfort with computer systems (PC, Windows, Excel, Office, 10-key input, high WPM). Knowledge of Impromed or other veterinary software is ideal but not required. We are a paperless office — computer literacy is required.
Flexibility in schedule availability, including evenings and weekends. Saturdays are required.
Ability to assist with cleaning duties throughout the hospital
Ability to work in an environment with allergens (animal hair and dander)

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
